Rug cleaning prices in Tangier: the full rate card
Indicative “from” prices per square metre, pick-up and delivery included. The final figure is confirmed in writing after measurement, before the rug leaves your home.
In Tangier, cleaning a rug costs 15 to 25 MAD per m² for synthetic, 25 to 40 MAD per m² for wool and Berber, and from 50 MAD per m² for hand-washed Persian and silk. Wall-to-wall carpet starts at 12 MAD per m² and sofas at 90 MAD per seat, pick-up and delivery included.
How the surface is calculated
Length × width, measured in front of you at pick-up. A 200 × 300 cm rug is 6 m²; at 25 MAD per m², the wash costs 150 MAD.
Be wary of unusually low rates such as 8 MAD per m². At that level a full rinse and mechanical extraction are economically impossible: the rug is soaped on the surface, returned barely dry, and re-soils quickly with a damp smell.
What moves the price
- Fibre: wool and silk take more time and care than synthetic.
- Soiling level: a rug untouched for years needs an extra cycle.
- Specific stains: urine, wine, henna and mould add 50 – 150 MAD.
- Volume: tiered discount from three rugs or 20 m².

They are indicative “from” rates. The exact amount depends on the fibre, the measured surface and the condition of the rug, and is confirmed in writing before pick-up.
Is there a minimum order?+
About 150 MAD, to cover travel, treatment and drying for a very small piece. There is no minimum quantity.
Is stain removal included?+
Pre-treatment of everyday stains is included. Intensive stain work (urine, wine, henna, mould) is 50 to 150 MAD extra, always announced before washing.
